Tamworth Castle Grounds will be transformed into a magical Christmas experience, brimming with festivities for the whole family to enjoy.
Kick off your Christmas celebrations with a visit to Santa’s Grotto, where children can meet Santa, share their Christmas wishes, experience the magic and receive a small gift.
Santa’s Grotto is just one part of the wider Christmas Lights Switch On event. Along with the grotto, you can enjoy family-friendly entertainment, a funfair, stalls, a projection on Tamworth Castle, walkabout character and seasonal food and drink.
Capture the Magic:
During your visit to Santa’s Grotto, we encourage you to take plenty of photos to capture this special family moment. Please note; that professional photos will not be available, but our friendly elves are happy to assist if you need help snapping the perfect shot.
Important Information:
- Location: Tamworth Castle Grounds
- Due to space restrictions, pushchairs are not permitted inside the grotto
- Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted inside the grotto
- Due to space restrictions, we can only accommodate manual wheelchairs
- The wider Christmas Lights Switch On is a free event, tickets are only required for Santa’s Grotto
To make the magic of Christmas truly accessible, we offer dedicated SEND Grotto slots from 11am to 12pm. This provides a calmer and quieter experience, allowing every visitor to enjoy the festive magic and joy at their own pace.
Ticket Information:
- All tickets must be booked in advance, no tickets available to purchase on the day
- Adults can enter for free and do not need a ticket
- Child tickets are £5
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Tickets are issued in 15-minute time slots, so please make sure to arrive at your designated time
- Upon arrival, you’ll be added to the queue for your time slot
- Please do not arrive before your allocated session
